An illustrated album that performs for us? Or a visual narrative that doesn’t fit into a book? At this show by the prize-winning author and illustrator Catarina Sobral, the illustrations are transformed into the scenery of a stage, the characters come to life and interact with the images… which also come to life. Calling onto the stage words, sounds and drawings, this is a story told in the form of a dialogue, in real time, between actors, musicians and illustrations.
Having won multiple awards for her children’s books, the author and illustrator Catarina Sobral has accepted the challenge made by Teatro Maria Matos to present her first creation for the stage.
