Sinopsis
Matadouro [Slaughterhouse] concludes Marcelo Evelin’s trilogy based on Os Sertões by Euclides da Cunha, a book that describes the War of Canudos. Inspired by this wonderful study of the people from northeast Brazil and their life conditions, Matadouro investigates the physical body as a metaphor for a battle eld. On stage, eight performers embody the fight in its extremes, in a continuous act of resistance.
