Intonarumori
Sinopsis
100 years ago, as encapsulated in his futurist manifesto The Art of Noises, Luigi Russolo designed and built the first noise‐generating devices. Destroyed during the Second World War, these instruments, known as noise intoners, ended up being faithfully reconstructed by Luciano Chessa in 2009 and, since then, have been used to produce new compositions by some of the most avant‐garde and important musicians of the last few decades. This evening, we will be playing host to some of these compositions, Russolo’s 16 instruments and 16 intrepid local noise‐making musicians.
