Sinopsis

Joshua Abrams became an omnipresent figure on the Chicago jazz scene with his double‐bass before embracing the entire world with the exotic sound of his gimbri, a small three‐stringed bass lute played by the Gnawa people of Africa. It is an embrace that brings together jazz, rock, folk, psychedelics and minimalism, all conceived in such a way that it seems as though he has invented a new inebriating and ritualistic culture, which attacks our minds and bodies like an uncontrollable virus. On the night of his performance, he will be playing in Lisbon, with Norberto Lobo and Yaw Tembe as his guest musicians.
