With a text by Nuno Costa Santos, I don’t belong here is based on the memories and on the experience of being repatriated to the Azores Archipelago by Portuguese citizens who grew up in the USA and Canada: the vague memories of childhood spent on the islands, the departure with the family, entering the world of crime, standing trial, prison, being repatriated and the current life on the island.
