Sinopsis
As a strategy of social innovation, the Human Library [Biblioteca Humana], has as its aim to promote dialogue, respect for human rights and the fight against stereotypes. It is based on a process of cooperative learning between “books” and readers. The original idea was developed by a Danish NGO known as Stop the violence, formed by five friends, following the murder of a common friend, who was the victim of prejudice.
In the human library, a group of people with different points of view, values and life paths, will be the “books”, making themselves available for a half-hour conversation with one or more “readers”. These “human books” interact with their “readers” in a climate of mutual learning, in an informal environment.
