Film, video and the media in general are regarded by the indigenous population of Brazil as tools to be used for revitalising and reflecting upon their culture and their territory, as well as for their own self‐representation and self‐determination. In this session, we will be showing two films produced under the scope of the Brazilian NGO — Vídeo nas Aldeias (Video in the Villages) — whose work is being developed in collaboration with the indigenous peoples.
