The economic crisis seen through the fanciful and cruel eyes of a child is
the background to Tristeza e alegria
na vida das girafas [Sadness and Joy
in the Life of Giraffes]. A nine-year-
old dictionary consumption world record holder girl crosses the city of Lisbon together with a teddy bear with suicidal tendencies. They look for the only person that can help them: Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho.
