Set by Set
Set by Set, inspired on From Her to Eternity by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, has a strong link with the most obscure music styles of the past few decades. The images, the soundtrack, the texts, and the dramaturgy of the play are combined into a revolving sequence, represented by a vinyl record, that reveals stories about a ctional, poetic and peculiar daily life.

The Importance of Nothing
The Importance of Nothing takes the record Super Stereo Demonstration as its starting point — a vinyl record that was developed to demonstrate the stereo effects of the hi- audio systems — to build a universe of audio and visual experiences through the exploration of autobiographical elements.
Manuel Mota
Manuel Mota has been one of the gureheads of exploratory guitar in Portugal for the past 20 years. His music is part of a blues tradition and reveals a multitude of in uences and historical references, thus conveying an enigmatic sense of timelessness. Since the moment of creation and instrumental execution are usually indistinct, he is considered to be an improviser. Interestingly enough, in this concert he will make his debut playing the piano.
Fennesz
Father figure of contemporary electronics, Christian Fennesz is known for his originality and the way he builds unique atmospheres that exhale intoxicating ambient aromas as much as multitextured sound walls. On his second visit to Teatro Maria Matos, Fennesz will be presenting his new album using Prototype [432], one of the unifying elements of this edition of SuperStereo DEMOnstration.

Rafael Toral
Rafael Toral has explored throughout his career the relationship between sound phenomena — such as resonance or difference tones — and the human capacity for creative listening. He has developed an idiosyncratic sound universe integrating ambient, rock, improvisation and sound design in multiple experimental practices. His Space Program produces crystal-clear music articulating silence and sound in a balanced way.
Chris & Cosey
Chris & Cosey is the duo formed by Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti after the breakup of the in uential Throbbing Gristle, a band they originally founded together with Peter Christopherson and Genesis P-Orridge. Letting go of the band’s sound and conceptual terrorism, the duo has privileged the use of rhythm and pop, creating some of the most remarkable post-industrial inspired electronic albums of the 1980s.
