In 2017, after embarking on a major deviation with Hexadic — an electrifying game of open composition, governed by complex rules that included the publication of a book, a pack of cards and countless public discussions, as well as two albums released in 2015 — Ben Chasny returned to the comfort of his more folk-based legacy. He released Burning The Threshold, which can be easily recognised as one of the most beautiful and accessible records in the long discography of Six Organs of Admittance. We are back, once again, to the pastoral landscape of his more crystalline folk, where excitingly clear and melodious songs leave us feeling perplexed by the beauty of his compositions and his rich and skilful guitar work. The perfect moment, we might say, to return to Teatro Maria Matos.
