Filipe Caldeira
Sinopsis
This show is a portrait-memory of childhood written by four hands (two hands that are never still; and another two that accompany them and watch), in which there is room for fear, risk, the street, a barking (and perhaps biting) dog and a grandfather at the window who can protect us out of the corner of his eye. After his debut in 2015, Caco (Filipe Caldeira) returns with the story of his grandfather Elísio, specially prepared for this show with Isabel Minhós Martins.
“Caco, why are you climbing?” my grandfather Elísio used to ask me.
“Because I’m called Caco, Caco, Caco…” I used to say, imitating the echo.
When it was thrown against a mountain, my name would break into a thousand tiny pieces. I mean, it would break into cacos (fragments). Perhaps it’s not the most respectable name in the world. It’s a name that is a piece of something broken. But it’s my name anyway.
