O Convento [The Convent] is a performance about a poor Portuguese family and into their dynamics of appropriation of a derelict monumental place: the ruins of the Franciscan monastery of Serra da Foia in Monchique. Besides the anthropological point of view, this work also reflects upon environmental and ecological issues associated with the surrounding centenary trees.
