Sinopsis
Mateluna originates from the interviews that Calderón undertook with former members of the resistance to the Chilean dictatorship, during his preparations for the play Escuela (2013). This new work is a play about the ethics of political violence and also about the concepts of truth and artistic inspiration. Its story raises the question of the relationship between the reality that was exposed in Escuela and today’s political violence, also touching on the deep feelings of guilt and justice, inherited from Pinochet’s dictatorship.
