In the last few years we have witnessed, motivated by economic and social crises, to the rise of citizen movements that claim public sphere as a space of construction of a participatory democracy. In this debate we focus on the Spanish case, where parties as Podemos and Barcelona em Comum emerged from platforms of citizen movements.
