Sinopsis

Ten years after its première at the Centro Cultural de Belém, Teatro Maria Matos will once again present the piece Blessed, this time at the context of its UTOPIAS cycle. Although the piece was not produced with this particular purpose, the climatic catastrophes of the last ten years – including the famous Hurricane Katrina – have turned it into an iconic image of the new ecological apocalypse. It is not a sea of fire that will dictate the end of the world as we know it, but its slow destruction beneath incessant rain.
