Sinopsis
Throughout these five debates, one will try to outline a landscape of the artistic practices that have contributed to the social, cultural and political transformation in the representation of gender, bodies and sexualities. Necessarily biased, this landscape points out clues to discuss the connection between performing arts, gender performativity and politics. In order to provide a complex discussion that takes into account the articulation of the gender category with other categories as ethnicity or social class, and aware of the geocultural specificities, we summoned different looks, from artists to scholars, from various geographies, disciplinary fields and artistic expressions.
