Sinopsis
Atlas premièred at Teatro Maria Matos in October 2011, when social movements rise up in cities all over the world. Inspired by the writings of Joseph Beuys (“We are the revolution”, “We are all artists”), Ana Borralho & João Galante create a performance which they call “a choreography of resistance”. The film An Elephant in the Room documents the preparation and presentation of the performance in Lisbon and Helsinki. Its projection is followed by a debate about the social and political impact of this brand of artistic creation.
