Sinopsis

A Philosophia do Gabiru [Gabiru’s Philosophy] revisits the writings and the imaginary of the Portuguese soldier, journalist, painter and writer Raul Brandão. Taken from the dramatic poem Os Pobres [The Poor], the title of the performance refers to the dreams, fears and philosophical liberties of this son of the Republic. The character of Gabiru – a kind of natural philosopher – is, above all, a projection of a man who always strove to be larger than life.
