Sinopsis
Simão Costa is, beyond other classifications, a composer and a pianist, but electronics takes up a generous space in his musical work, both as a subject and as a sound processing tool. Short Circuit is about the piano, but also about the instrument as a percussion object and as a source for other electro‐acoustical sounds and phenomena. It’s within the piano’s innards that everything takes place, as a score enclosed in a short‐circuited piano.
