Sinopsis

Tales from the Vienna Woods (1931) is one of the most famous plays by Austro-Hungarian author Ödön von Horváth. Written according to the tradition of popular theatre in Vienna, the play subverts the (usually innocuous) genre to formulate a sharp criticism of a burgeois community that is intolerant, selfish and narrow-minded, at a time of deep economic crisis and widespread unemployment.
