Sinopsis
As Bodas de Fígaro Uma Tradução is a play where theatre and opera both meet and divide. Beaumarchais, Lorenzo da Ponte, Mozart and Miguel Castro Caldas have all been summoned: it is almost a singing opera; it is Mozart in trouble; it is a translation of Da Ponte; it is Figaro’s monologue against privileges and institutions written by Beaumarchais long before.
