An activist of the social and environmental movement and a staunch defender of the indigenous rights enshrined in the 1988 Constitution, Ailton Krenak organised the Alliance of
the Peoples of the Forest, which brings together the indigenous and activist riverside communities in the Amazon rainforest. In this lecture, he will talk about the way in which the realities lived and experienced by the indigenous peoples are intertwined with the universe of the dream — that “common institution” where the living gather together, encountering not just one another, but also their ancestors, in a place where times and places intersect.
